Basic Samba setup - as you maybe aware samba allows you to share files between 2 computers in this case one operating under windows and the other ubuntu.

No Sound after using flash video on the web - After playing a flash video, the CPU usage will go peak to about 80 percent and remain there until Firefox is closed. Also, while firefox is still open, no other programs will have access to the sound system. Solution - $sudo apt-get install libflash-mozplugin libflashsupport. Full details.

Have copied japplex directions below (I much appreciate his efforts) -

I have finally worked out how to do this (maybe 4 months late for simo). I believe it is a new ‘feature’ of Gutsy (7.10)

HOW TO:
Open up the .config folder in your home directory
Open for edit the file user-dirs.dirs (you could back up this file just in case)
change the line XDG_PICTURES_DIR= to the location of your pictures.
eg: XDG_PICTURES_DIR=”/home/A_Location /MyCameraPhotosLiveHere”
Save the file
Select Pictures Folder in the screensaver preferences selection list
Test and all should be working.
